The Watertown Retirement Board Members and Office Staff are happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding the retirement law and/or your retirement benefits in general. The retirement office now remains open until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evenings to provide confidential one on one retirement counseling. To guarantee a private consultation, we suggest contacting the retirement office at 617-972-6456 to schedule an appointment. BOARD MAKEUP:
The Watertown Retirement board consists of five members.
- The Town Auditor is the ex-officio member of the Board
- One member appointed to the Board by the Town Manager
- Two members are elected by the members of the Watertown Retirement System and are active or retired members of the System.
- The Fifth Member is chosen by the other four and cannot be an employee, retiree, or official of the Town of Watertown or the Watertown Housing Authority.
- One of these five board members is elected by the other four to serve as chairman.
